Tuesday's may suck too, but it was better than Monday

I started the day out early, got to work at 7:05, then stayed at work an hour late too, so about 2 hours of overtime in just today. Traffic was a mess trying to get home. Our dear governor has decided that every toll booth on every road around Chicago needs to be under construction to convert to "open road tolling" ALL AT THE SAME TIME! Needless to say, it has made for some scary moments with all the lane closures and people changing lanes and cutting people off, definite practice in defensive driving. Finally one of the toll booths opened a couple of the new lanes, but of course no one was prepared for it, and so traffic was even worse today than it was yesterday or last week. There's still two more lanes to open, and I'm still not convinced that this plan will work. What I am convinced of is, as soon as the election is over next year for governor, and Blagoyevich is defeated, some commuter from Chicago will kill him. I know I'm not the only one expressing frustration with how he's handling this project.

Anyway...I stopped at the store, bought Kenny's new cd, bought some Keebler Jingles (cause Christmas stuff is out, and these cookies don't last on the shelves very long), bought a few other things, came home and relaxed while watching Bones and DooL. Now it's time for bed, and doing this all over again tomorrow, lol. I'm going to try to go into work early again tomorrow, can't stay late though, cause Kerry is streaming at 6pm EST.
