Short post tonight, since I need to get to bed soon. I celebrated my birthday with family today, or should I say part of my family. I went out to lunch with my adopted mom and adopted aunt, then we went to see The Sentinel. My cousin and his girlfriend were supposed to join us, but they never showed, and neither one of them answered their phones when we called to see where they were. I was very disappointed that they flaked on us, but what do you expect from 23 yr olds.
I got a bunch of shot glasses. In case you didn't know it, I collect them. I have several cases on my walls here, to display some of them. One of these days I need to update my list of what I have and don't have. I also got a lounging outfit for home, and a couple of holiday tops to wear for Christmas. My big present from my aunt was my printer/scanner/copier that she and I have been talking about for months. We've been waiting to see them go on sale, and she kept putting me off when I'd tell her where I saw one cheap. Turns out she bought this one a while ago, and didn't tell me, lol. I'm going to try to get it set up this week, but not sure itf I'll have time.
Deb is coming to town this weekend. Woooooooooo Hoooooooooooooo I'll be busy in the evenings after work making sure this place is spotless for her, cause I know how much of a neat freak she is, and let's just say I'm not so much of a neat freak, lol.

I hope you had a nice time yesterday. I know all about 23 year olds...I have one myself and I haven't heard from him in over three weeks.
ReplyDeleteI collect shot glasses too. My son (the 23 year old) got me into it when he started collecting while on his high school band and chorus trips. He has a lot and so do I. I have a shelf above my monitor here that has my most recent ones. They're from trips to New Hampshire and Alabama. I tried to get one from every state we were in and several from each point of interest we visited. If I come across any that say Towanda, Pennsylvania, I'll be sure to send it to you. *winks*
I also have a few champagne glasses I've collected along the way...those are especially nice. Our daughter gave Terri and me an engraved set for our 25th wedding anniversary 5 years ago, and I have them sitting on my dvd player in the living room...surrounded by a few other glasses. Terri collects steins and mugs, and I wish we had a bigger place to display them.
