Robert "Uncle Bob" Douglas
1929-2008
Rest In Peace
Friday February 22 I will be flying to California for a memorial, to be held on Saturday February 23. My Uncle Bob was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease several years ago, and up until six months ago, was being cared for at home by his wife and a caregiver. When he could no longer swallow on his own, a feeding tube was inserted and he was placed in a full-time care facility. He lived a long and happy life, and I know my Aunt will be just fine, with the support of so many family members that love her.
Have a safe trip. My condolences to you and the rest of the family.

ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear of your loss. "Bob" looks like the kind of guy that smiled at his neighbors and lent a helping hand when they need one.
ReplyDeleteHope your trip goes smoothly.
WOW! You look a lot like your Aunt!! and dang you look so young in that picture.
ReplyDeleteThere is obviously no good time or way for someone whom you care about to die, but I think both you and your Aunt have been preparing for this for quite sometime and I truly hope you can have some peace.
My condolences to you and your family. Be safe.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry for your loss, and hope your trip goes smoothly *hugs*
