A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM CDT FRIDAY TO 1 AM CDT SATURDAY. THE WARNING AREA IS GENERALLY ALONG AND NORTH OF A LINE FROM STERLING...TO JOLIET...TO CROWN POINT INDIANA.SNOW WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE UPPER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY TONIGHT...SPREADING INTO PORTIONS OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. SNOWFALL WILL LIKELY BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES DURING THE DAY FRIDAY...WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR POSSIBLE. SNOW WILL THEN GRADUALLY DIMINISH FRIDAY EVENING. TOTAL SNOWFALL ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 6 TO 9 INCHES...WITH SNOW AMOUNTS DIMINISHING RAPIDLY SOUTH OF A STERLING TO JOLIET AND CROWN POINT INDIANA LINE WHERE PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO BE MAINLY RAIN.

  1. Hey!! Does this mean I'll finally get my shipment of snow?? Pack it in dry ice and ship it overnight via FedEx so it doesnt all melt before it gets here.

  2. I saw that weather forecast for your area on the weather channel this morning. Sucks, doesn't it? We had snow showers all day yesterday and predicted again for today....but not a big snow storm like that. :(

    (would someone please send that lady in Virginia some snow...LOL)

  3. I have the weather channel on the tv behind me and it just said some places out your way were getting an inch an hour. I was gonna suggest sending it southeast, but could ya wait until Marty gets home from Maryland on Sunday? :\
