Tomorrow I get to go to my first Cubs game of the season and they're playing the dreaded St. Louis Cardinals! It's also the 20th anniversary of turning the lights on at Wrigley Field. August 8, 1988 they turned the lights on for the very first night game of baseball at Wrigley Field.

My aunt gets in on a package through her bank, and I was supposed to go with her son since we both love the Cubs. But her son got his schedule mixed up and is cooking the wedding rehearsal dinner for a friend tomorrow. So instead, my aunt is going with me. She's not that into sports, so it should be interesting. I have to be at her house at 8:30AM, so I don't even get to sleep in tomorrow. The game starts at 1:20PM, it's a three hour game, then we have to take the bus all the way back to her town, and I get to drive the 40 minutes home from there. Will be a long day, for sure!

Go Cubs Go

That's the song we'll all be singing if they win! Go Cubs Go!!!

  2. Have a great time at the game. Your aunt will have fun even if she isn't into sports. Sara isn't really into baseball that much but she would rather go to the game in person, than watch on tv.

  3. I hope you get a really cool 20th Anniversary night game replica cap they are handing out to the first 10,000 fans and that Ted Lilly (#30) throws a no-hitter!

  4. I don't know the first thing about baseball. In fact, even the sports I "sort of" support a team in I'm not bothered too much about what goes on in them. I've never really been big on sports, and only have a football (as in soccer) team because I started supporting them to impress a boy when I was younger and have half-heartedly followed them since. And I only have a basketball team because I told someone I liked the sport and they said I needed a team, and I liked the look of the logo. LOL!

    Anyway...

Hope the traveling isn't too stressful and that you enjoy the game.
