It's winter in Northern Illinois
the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 32 below!
Oh, how I love Illinois
when the snow's up to your butt;
You take a breath of winter air
and your nose is frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Illinois
because I'm frozen to the ground.
heh heh heh! Love the outhouse!
ReplyDeleteI saw on the news and weather channel that you were getting snow in your area. That sucks! Be careful out there on the roads.
ReplyDeleteThe warm weather will arrive eventually. Honest!
ReplyDeleteMmm.. so I guess you didn't get any "promises of Spring" pictures this weekend...
ReplyDeleteSnow and ice aren't good for a bad back... I hope you are careful.
Cold here too but at least we didn't get the promised snow. Hang in there, Spring WILL return! And then we can start complaining about the heat of summer :)
ReplyDeletegood sculpting there! Looks real!
ReplyDeleteBlows some warm air toward Illinois.
Oh you poor thing! That is something I do NOT miss...midwestern and/or northeastern winters!!!
ReplyDeleteSpring IS coming - I promise!!
Hope you're staying warm! And congrats on beating me on the bracket!!
ReplyDeleteHa! Guess you don't have a choice! I feel for ya honey! (that out house is stinkin funny!)
ReplyDeleteWinter sucks. LOL Nice poem. :)
ReplyDelete(and to answer your question, yes....male 4 does cook for the fam too. just tonight I had to vent about it. this is NOT the first time my food was eaten off the table after they were all supposedly done. male 2 did that to me at breakfast once.)
Hahaha funny little poem.
ReplyDeleteMy mom and dad lived in Chicago for a few years right after they got married, while my dad was in college. My mom says the winters are just beyond brutle.
