Winter In Northern Illinois

We got snow this evening, about 2-3 inches from what I can tell. What happened to winter only lasting 6 more weeks? Where's Spring? I need Spring!!!!

It's winter in Northern Illinois
the gentle breezes blow,
70 miles per hour at 32 below!
Oh, how I love Illinois
when the snow's up to your butt;
You take a breath of winter air
and your nose is frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful,
I guess I'll hang around.
I could never leave Illinois
because I'm frozen to the ground.

  2. I saw on the news and weather channel that you were getting snow in your area. That sucks! Be careful out there on the roads.

  4. Mmm.. so I guess you didn't get any "promises of Spring" pictures this weekend...

    Snow and ice aren't good for a bad back... I hope you are careful.

  5. Cold here too but at least we didn't get the promised snow. Hang in there, Spring WILL return! And then we can start complaining about the heat of summer :)

    My mom and dad lived in Chicago for a few years right after they got married, while my dad was in college. My mom says the winters are just beyond brutle.
