    That is really wild. She looks pretty neat with the pirate eye patch, and I cringed when she stuck the fake eye into her head (yikes!)

    ...but I hope someday they can make it so that blind folks can see (at least something) again...

    Interesting...

    Wondered how long it would be before someone tried to make one for real.

    I'd have to be sure all the kinks are worked out before I'd be willing to try it though. As much as I'd love to be able to see things again, I wouldn't want to risk a serious glitch in it causing worse damage (e.g. frying my brain or something).

    Wow! I am going to show this article to Shirley. She was shot in the 80's and lost her right eye. She wears a glass eye (she puts a bandaid..one of those big patch ones when she doesn't have it in)
