First Big Snow of the Season

Today was the first big snow of the season, and Chicago failed the test. That being how traffic handles the snow and how well the plows clear the streets. I took the day off from work to go shopping with a couple friends. We were out in Rockford today. One friend lives in the town next to Rockford, called Belvidere. I left her house in Belvidere at about 2:45pm this afternoon. We figured, with the snow, we'd allow 2 hours, just in case, so I could drop my other friend off at her house by 5pm. Well! We got to her house about 4:30 maybe? I can't remember the exact time. I left her house and started my long ass trip home. Normally, the drive would take 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Tonight, it took almost 2-1/2 hours. Every road I took hadn't been plowed yet, and traffic was at a dead crawl. I am so glad to be home right now. And with all this snow, maybe only 5 inches, I will have to get up at 5am, go outside at about 6am and start clearing off my car, so I can leave by 6:30 at the latest to try to get to work by 8. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday and I can dress in jeans and sneakers!

Just a Quick Post

I'm heading to bed, had to read emails and catch up on blogs, and couldn't do all that until after I watched part 2 of The Triangle, a mini series on SciFi. Almost freaked me out on the plane today, cause I was remembering images from the first episode last night.

I flew down to Indianapolis today to go visit a customer. Nice visit. I've been there once before, but it was nice to go see the buyer again. And I got to see a couple pieces of steel that they've been having problems with. I knew what the problem was, but I wanted to see what it actually looked like to them. Flew back this evening, and since I don't fly much in the winter, I think this is the first time I've ever actually been on a plane that I knew was being de-iced. It was interesting to watch, lol. I think the plane held 40 people total, and I was in seat 1A, so I got off first! Wooo Hooo! ! !

Friggin airport, couldn't let us park in the parking garage on one of the coldest f***ing days of the year, NOOOO, we had to park in the outside lot, and walk OUTSIDE to get to the terminal! And the WIND! OMG! Overnight temps are supposed to be around 0F with a windchill of -15F. I'm not even going to attempt a conversion for Kerry, lmao.

Back to work tomorrow, then off on Thursday to go shopping with a couple friends, then back to work on Friday, crazy week! LOL

It's FRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDAY! ! ! ! !

What a nice day it was! I got out of work early, so I could come home and get ready for my "Holiday Dinner." Damn thing was 45 miles one way, took me an hour and a half to get there! Of course that was during rush hour too, plus one accident along the way.

Dinner was very nice. I had filet mignon, green beans, mashed potatoes, some kind of creamy shrimp soup, hearts of romaine ceasar salad (two pieces of lettuce 6 inches long with ceasar dressing drizzled on top), and OMG this cheesecake for dessert! It was like a mint flavor cheesecake, and a firm coating of chocolate all around it. That was the best part of the meal, lol

I don't know if I'll get any pictures of me in my outfit, only 2-3 were taken with me in them (I think), if I get any of them digitally, if they show the outfit at all, I'll send them to you.

I only had one glass of wine with dinner, drank water and diet pepsi the rest of the time. Traffic was much better coming home, it only took me 45 minutes or so to get home. And just as I was about to turn onto my street, I see the first snowflakes falling, so my timing was perfect. I ended up not driving in any snow, lol.

Now that I have this stupid song in my head (me? I'm a kitty cat, and I dance dance dance, and I dance dance dance.) Kerry will know what I'm talking about, lmao

Quick and Painless

Is that what the dentist said to Kerry tonight? LMAO

Busy day today! It's end of month AGAIN! Seems like I just went through all this, and now I'm doing it again, lol. Ran some errands on the way home from work today...stopped at the post office to get stamps, got gas for my car (gas is getting cheaper and cheaper, wooo hoooo 2.14/gallon), and picked up some dry cleaning. Tomorrow night (Friday) is my "Holiday Dinner." Guess it's not being called a Christmas Dinner, because we have so many Japanese people in the office, and I just bet some of them aren't Christians, lol.

So I had this outfit for oh at least three years and never wore it, lmao. I LOVED the outfit in the store, but the pants were too long. I bought it anyway, and just never got around to having the pants hemmed. Well, since it was suggested that I reconsider going to the Holiday Dinner, I figured now was a great time to hem the pants and wear this outfit. The pants are all black, real soft material. The top is button all the way down, it's like a jacket, goes down past my hips, it's tan in the front and black in the back, with this blacked stitched flower or something on the front. I think it looks very nice on me, perfect for this dinner, which we've been told is business formal. Black flats with the outfit, and I'm all set.

Now I'm just hoping that the snow really does hold off until after midnight so I can get home from this dinner beforehand. And since I'm going to the dinner, I get off work at 2pm tomorrow!!! Gives me a chance to come home, shower, shave, get all spruced up, grab a little snack since dinner won't be until 7pm and I'll be starving by then, lol.

I had bills to pay tonight, had two episodes of Days to watch (one of which had no sound so it only took 7-8 minutes to fast-forward through it, lol), watched ER, typed up this, and now I'm going to bed. Hope everyone else sleeps as well as I'm going to tonight!

Wow, what a nice long weekend I had!

I took a vacation day on Wednesday, went and did some Christmas shopping before the rush started. I went to Wal Mart and Borders and came home with a trunkful of stuff, lol And still MORE shopping to do! That will happen during the week in the evenings, I will almost avoid all the stores on the weekends for the next month. It's not worth it to fight the crowds. I really have started hating all the commercialism around Christmas these days.

Thursday was Thanksgiving! Yummy turkey and stuffing and cranberry sauce and sweet potatoes and green bean casserole (yuck) and corn and rolls and pumpkin pie and sweet potato pie! I was stuffed, brought some turkey, stuffing and gravy home. Everything else was about gone, lol 20 pound turkey for 5 people and there was not much left over. Another tradition on Thanksgiving is the Dallas football game. Unfortunately this year, they lost. But they had a chance to take the lead and missed an easy 34 yard fieldgoal. That left the score tied, into overtime they went, and Denver pulled out a win. Oh well! The NY Giants lost on Sunday, so we're still tied with them for the division lead!

Saturday I slept in and did nothing all day, LOL. Sunday I went to see Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was good, but seeing as the book is 700 plus pages, there was so much stuff that had to be skipped over or ignored, to me the movie was missing something. I still liked it, but it wasn't my favorite of the four movies so far. I still have not read the newest book, hopefully I'll be able to borrow it from someone eventually and read it.

Today was back to work Monday, busy busy busy. And the emails from Kerry!!! OMG is all I can say! Sorta makes me glad I'm homeless, LOL I have a candle party to go to Wednesday night at 7pm, so will miss Kerry's stream :( I'm sure she'll play some awesome Christmas music! Then Friday night is our "Holiday Dinner" for work. Originally, I said I was not going to go. The reason? Where they are having it, is 45 miles away, and with the weather in December being so unpredictable, I didn't want to chance having to drive that far in potentially bad weather. Around here, 45 miles could take you an hour or more to drive. Well, I come into work this morning, and what do I have but an email from my boss. He was talking with our president, who wants those of us who declined to go to the dinner to "reconsider" but not to feel obligated to do so. I'm sorry, but sending an email like that MAKES me feel obligated to go. Since I didn't really have a good excuse other than potential weather for not going, I told him I'd go. My dinner will be Filet Mignon, because my other option was stuffed chicken with mushrooms. You don't think I'd eat that, do you???? Dinner is 6-9pm, and by going to the dinner we get out of work at 2pm or when business allows you. In other words, if you're really busy, you stay until you can leave. If you're not so busy, you leave at 2pm, LOL. I dropped a couple pairs of pants off at the cleaners tonight, one to get cleaned, the other to be hemmed, so I have a couple options for outfits on Friday.

That should get everyone caught up on my life for now!

Another Boring Day in My Life

Got up, went to work, worked (LOL), came home, stopped at the store and bought $20 worth of groceries so I could get a case of diet coke for only $2.99, watched Days of our Lives, chatted with Kerry on msn, and went to bed.

Oh yeah, and I read today that GM is cutting 30,000 jobs and closing 9 plants in North America. That's approximately 9 percent of their workforce. They say they are closing plants so their production will be down to the level of the amount of cars they are selling. What they need to do is make their cars more enticing to people so they'll buy them! LOL

Busy and exciting day, huh?

I'm Pissed So I'm Making a Blog Entry

Ok, so PK and Kerry know there's this guy I've been talking to online on and off for about a year now. Well, tonight is the final straw. When he's in the room, and doesn't say boo to me, leaves with "her" doesn't say bye, nothing, I figure it's time to cut my losses for a second and final time. No going back now. I will NEVER stream there as long as he is owner. I have blocked him on my msn, although I don't think I'll put him on ignore in chat. I will only go to that site for Kerry's streams, if he's there I will pretend that he isn't. He said he wants to come visit me after he moves? Fuck him! He ain't coming anywhere near me! I've had it with whatever game he's playing. There is nothing he can say to me now to change my mind. And on that note, here is a "poem" that I wrote a couple months ago (and added to tonight), regarding me and him.

First Love

It seems like just yesterday
We started talking
Having so much in common
Becoming fast friends

I started thinking about more
More for my life
More for yours
Together you and I

Then we slowed down
Not together but not apart
I wondered what was happening
Was this how it would end?

You have old friends
Who mean so much to you
I found it hard
To compete

Letting you go
Seemed the best idea
You deserved more
Than what I could give

I thought I was over you
Thought I was ok
Till I saw you again
Smooching and kissing her

I tried to survive
Showing no pain
Just saying hi
No hugs or laughs

Until that day
You begged for my number
I thought twice
Before giving it out

When I heard your voice
So calm and soothing
Telling me things
I couldn’t see for myself

I promised to be friends
Or at least to try
Even though I want more
Realizing that won’t be

You’re my first love
In my heart forever
I’ll never get over you
Do I even want to?

My heart is breaking again
Caused by your indifference
You ask things of me
Then don't give in return

How can I be friends
With someone who's never around
Who never talks to me
Does he even see me?

Was it something I said?
Was it something I did?
Am I too innocent?
Or are you too jaded?

So I'm forcing you out
Never to return
My heart is now closed
Forever to you

They say time heals
But do I want it to?
I'd rather keep this pain
Than go through it again

Love sucks
When it doesn't work out
But will it ever
Work out for me?

Short and Sweet

I'm making this blog entry earlier than normal, hopefully won't be too long. I have a football game to watch tonight, GO COWBOYS!

The weekend was pretty quiet. Didn't do too much. Except resign from streaming, lol. Surprised a couple people, that's for sure! I have no plans to start streaming anywhere else right now, just taking my time and figuring out if it's something I want to continue doing. I do enjoy chatting (at the right place with the right people), and I do enjoy streaming when I know people are listening, and there are chatters actually chatting. Otherwise, it's boring as hell.

With my free time this weekend, I ripped all my cd's I had bought that were stacking up next to my computer. Then I sent most of the music to Kerry so she has it now too. I'm still working overtime when I can get in early or when I feel like staying late. Tomorrow will be hard, with the football game lasting till at least 11pm tonight, but I'll try! The next song on the Ryan Shupe cd is called "Oh How I Miss You." What I like about this, is it's got a different beat and style to it, there are brass instruments in it, which you don't normally hear in a typical bluegrass band. The music almost has a tropical island feel to it.

Oh how I miss you
Wish I could kiss you
Hug you, hold you
It would be bliss to
Look in your eyes see
They mesmerize me
And leave me with nothing to fear

When I see you're beside me,
The whole world disappears
I want to be your one and only,
I want to share you hopes and fears
And cares and laughs, and all your dreams and everything in between
If you would let me be the one

Oh how I miss you
Wish I could kiss you
Hug you, hold you
It would be bliss to
Look in your eyes see
They mesmerize me
And leave me with nothing to fear

Well I knew when I saw you
That we would always be
And it's true that I love you
With everything you hear and see and feel and know
How could you leave, I'm not a fool but I believe
That fairytales happen sometimes

Oh how I miss you
Wish I could kiss you
Hug you, hold you
It would be bliss to
Look in your eyes see
They mesmerize me
And leave me with nothing to fear
With nothing to fear

Oh how I miss you
Wish I could kiss you
Hug you, hold you
It would be bliss to
Look in your eyes see
They mesmerize me
And leave me with nothing to fear

Oh how I miss you
Wish I could kiss you
Hug you, hold you
It would be bliss to
Look in your eyes see
They mesmerize me
And leave me with nothing to fear

Oh how I miss you
Wish I could kiss you
Hug you, hold you
It would be bliss to
Look in your eyes see
They mesmerize me
And leave me with nothing to fear

Look in your eyes see
They mesmerize me
And leave me with nothing to fear

Happy Veteran's Day

Sorry I haven't posted the last couple of day. I either was too tired and didn't feel like it, or I was busy and didn't have time. This post is short because I'm at work, been working lots of overtime this week, it's still nuts around here. Anyway, life's the same ol' same ol'. Work work work, no life other than that. Someone save me! Ok, time to get crackin' on this stuff piling up on my desk.

Tuesday's may suck too, but it was better than Monday

I started the day out early, got to work at 7:05, then stayed at work an hour late too, so about 2 hours of overtime in just today. Traffic was a mess trying to get home. Our dear governor has decided that every toll booth on every road around Chicago needs to be under construction to convert to "open road tolling" ALL AT THE SAME TIME! Needless to say, it has made for some scary moments with all the lane closures and people changing lanes and cutting people off, definite practice in defensive driving. Finally one of the toll booths opened a couple of the new lanes, but of course no one was prepared for it, and so traffic was even worse today than it was yesterday or last week. There's still two more lanes to open, and I'm still not convinced that this plan will work. What I am convinced of is, as soon as the election is over next year for governor, and Blagoyevich is defeated, some commuter from Chicago will kill him. I know I'm not the only one expressing frustration with how he's handling this project.

Anyway...I stopped at the store, bought Kenny's new cd, bought some Keebler Jingles (cause Christmas stuff is out, and these cookies don't last on the shelves very long), bought a few other things, came home and relaxed while watching Bones and DooL. Now it's time for bed, and doing this all over again tomorrow, lol. I'm going to try to go into work early again tomorrow, can't stay late though, cause Kerry is streaming at 6pm EST. On that note, here are the lyrics to the next Ryan Shupe song (I just can't get enough of this cd!), Never Give Up.

Some people think me ugly, some people think me cute
Some people think me stupid, others astute
But people gonna do what they're gonna do
You got to listen to your heart and to yourself be true

'Cause sometimes life just slaps you in the face
And knocks your brains all over the place
And leaves you standing there wondering why
Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry
And all the things you thought were right are wrong
And all the friends you thought were true, they are now gone

But I say never give up
Never give in
Never fall down if you don't plan to get right back up again
I said now never give up
Never give in
Never fall down if you don't plan to get right back up again

I want to shine bright like a light on the top of the hill
I never want to feel like I'm the one who's underdressed
The one who's oppressed
I only want to make it like the best of the best
I want to rise to the top, don't ever want to stop
Don't hold me under water 'til my brain cells pop

Well I say never give up
Never give in
Never fall down if you don't plan to get right back up again
I said now never give up
Never give in
Never fall down if you don't plan to get right back up again

Every time I fall I feel that I must fly above the world
You know I'll try it everyday I won't be underestimated no way
Every time I fall I feel that I must rise above adversity
Surprise that's right, it's me and I'm here to fight just like Bruce Lee

And I say never give up
Never give in
Never fall down if you don't plan to get right back up again
I said now never give up
Never give in
Never fall down if you don't plan to get right back up again

Never give up
Never give in
Never fall down if you don't plan to get right back up again
I said now never give up
Never give in
I said never give all if you don't plan to get right back up again

I said now
I said now
Never give up

Monday's Suck!

Sorry, today started out bad, and never got much better, lol. First, I overslept for work, ugh! I didn't get to work until 9:20, so I had to make up my time, and stay till 5:20. Right before I woke up, I was having this very strange dream. It started out I was at Texas Stadium, where the Dallas Cowboys play. It was the last home game before they tore it down to build a new one. Jerry Jones, the owner of the Cowboys was there, and there was some ceremony after the game. Oh yeah, the Cowboys played the Philadelphia Eagles, and they crushed them, all in my dream, lmao. So Texas Stadium is an open roof stadium. There is no roof, so if it rains, the stadium gets wet, if it snows, there's snow on the field. During this cermony with Jerry Jones, he was supposedly "closing the roof," which is impossible in real life. And the "hole" in the roof was about the size of two skylights. That's a heck of a lot smaller than the REAL hole in the roof of Texas Stadium.

Next thing I know, I'm in some high school gymnasium, either before or after a basketball game (I think). Not sure what that was about, but then I'm in a grocery store walking down an aisle. I didn't buy anything, don't even know why I was there. Then I woke up, lmao.

Needless to say, I felt like I was rushing all morning due to being late to work. And of course, tonight has flown by because I got home so much later than I usually do. Listening to a stream as I type this, I'm enjoying relaxing before heading to bed. Continuing with the lyrics to songs from the Ryan Shupe cd, the next song is Rain Falls Down:

I knew down deep inside that something wasn't right
Enough to grip my heart and wake me in the night
But the weather looked so good in the morning
That I failed to heed the flash flood warning

And the rain falls down
And I'm standing here
With no umbrella again
The rain falls down
And I'm standing here
With no umbrella
The rain falls down
The rain falls down

The first flash blinded me and caught me by surprise
Until the repercussion hit and opened up my eyes
Sometimes lightning strikes without rhyme or reason
And when it rains it pours in monsoon season

And the rain falls down
And I'm standing here
With no umbrella again
The rain falls down
And I'm standing here
With no umbrella
The rain falls down
The rain falls down

Sometimes the knife runs deeper than the blade
Sometimes the bed's still messy when it's made
When Cinderella found the writer had appended
What did she do when the fairy tale had ended

And the rain falls down
And I'm standing here
With no umbrella again
The rain falls down
And I'm standing here
With no umbrella
The rain falls down
The rain falls down

Thursday has now come and gone...

We are officially done with October at work now, lol. Whew! What a long day. I got to work just before 7am, worked through most of my lunch, but I needed that time to get everything done. All my invoicing is done, I got a couple claims closed out, one was a big one, $58,000. And in-between, I was calling customers and damn I just realized there was something I didn't do today, lmao. Oh well, I can do it first thing in the morning, shouldn't be a problem.

Now I can start working on all the November stuff that has been stacking up on my desk for three days! That should keep me busy most of tomorrow. Thank goodness tomorrow's Friday and I can wear jeans and be comfortable. The weather here is unseasonably warm, was about 72F (22C) today, supposed to be 69F (20.5C) tomorrow. Nice that I don't have to bundle up in my tigger jacket with my tigger gloves and wait for the frost to melt before I leave my parking lot. I'll have to look for an in-between shirt for tomorrow...not a sweatshirt, but not a short-sleeved shirt, I'd be too cold at work in that. Hmmm, I'll have to think on that.

Tonight's song by Ryan Shupe and The Rubber Band is called New Emotion:

Would you love me if I
Told you that I could not
Hold you closer tonight
To my heart it just might
Break me, make me fall down
Trip me up and hit ground
I don't want to be there
And I don't want to be but I feel

A new emotion
A deep devotion
And a notion
That I will find you
Alright
Tonight
And I might
Fall again

So would you stay if you knew
That I would only leave you
Sad enough and lonely
And I'd think of you only
And in my dreams we would walk
And in my dreams we would talk
Hand in hand together
Hand in hand I feel

A new emotion
A deep devotion
And a notion
That I will find you
Alright
Tonight
And I might
Fall again

I might fall

I don't want to see the news
I don't want to feel the rain
That's falling on my face again
I don't want to see your face
On a billboard store
Don't want to grow old in this place no more

So would you think me crazy
And would you laugh forever
And in my arms you would be
And in your eyes I could see
All the stars up at night
And I'm hoping you might
I swear I've seen your eyes before
I swear I've seen your eyes
And I feel

A new emotion
A deep devotion
And a notion
That I will find you
Alright
Tonight
And I might
Fall again

I might fall again
I might fall again
I might fall again
I might fall

Is It Friday Yet?

Ok, so today is only hump day. At least it's all down hill from here! Work was very busy again today. I had people from every side wanting something done now, and there's only one of me, lol

All that stuff that happened late in the day yesterday got taken care of for the most part. The freight on the invoices got added and I redid the paperwork on those. The other invoices with the wrong price...I gave the info to the co-ordinator and it's in his semi-capable hands. That's all I can do for now.

Now all that's left is to try to clear up some claims, and invoice a few more shipements for one customer, and I should be about done with end of month. Thank goodness we got an extra day this month. I never would have gotten all this done in two days, lol

I'm posting this earlier than the last couple of nights, because I'd like to go watch CSI:NY before going to bed. So to close out my post, here's the lyrics from the next song from Ryan Shupe and The Rubber Band...Would You Love Me.

I should've known she wouldn't listen
I should've known she'd pass me by
I should've known better than to listen
To the lullaby

'Cause it's a sad, sad song I hear
And a long, long road I fear
Without you
Without you

Would you love me
Always trust me
Would you love me
If it won't hurt you at all

I should've known she'd leave me standing
I should've known she wouldn't go
I should've known better than to turn on
The television show

'Cause every time I look I see
The wrong episode is me
Without you
Without you

Would you love me
Always trust me
Would you love me
If it won't hurt you at all

So please be careful my heart
Right from the start
'Cause it's not that easy coming down
Before it all falls apart
Would it be so plain to see

Would you love me
Always trust me
Would you love me
If it won't hurt you at all

Would you love me
Always trust me
Would you love me
If it won't hurt you at all
If it won't hurt you at all
If it won't hurt you at all

Another Day, Another Couple of Dollars Earned

Today is day one of end of month. Every month, for the first two days of the month, we have the ability to "backdate" transactions from the previous month that weren't completed. For example, if I didn't get the bills of lading for material that shipped on the 31st until the 2nd, I can still invoice the customer and date the invoice the 31st so it will be counted in October. Well, this month we get a whole THREE days to "backdate" because the auditors will be in to audit our October transactions. Oh what fun!

To make matters worse, I had two barge shipments that went out last week that I needed to put into the system. One wasn't bad, only 400,000 pounds worth of material. But the OTHER one...2.4 million pounds! That's a lot of steel coils, lmao. I have to receive the coils into our system into inventory (even though they will be on a river barge for 4 weeks), add all the coils to a spreadsheet, and then pay the invoices to the mills that made all this material. Unbeknownst to me, one of the mills added freight to the invoice. Normally, for truck shipments they don't. And the last barge they shipped out, was while I was on vacation, so I didn't see any of the paperwork. So it wasn't until AFTER I had put the invoices in to be paid that the Accounting Mgr comes up and says, "you forgot freight on all these." I said, "What freight?" Lo and behold, there was freight. So he had to cancel part of what I did, and now I have to go back and add all the freight in and re-do it. Ugh!!! I did NOT need that at 3:45pm! Guess what I'll be doing first thing tomorrow morning?

Then to top it all off, I had some other material ship out from another mill (same mill company, just different plant), and they invoiced us at a different price than what my Purchase Order said. So I have to put all the information together for the co-ordinator so he can discuss with his sales contact at the mill. I don't know whether I should process any of this paperwork, or hold it on my desk. My boss will be back tomorrow afternoon, so I'll let him know what's going on and see what he suggests I do.

After all that, I need to finish this, and what better way than to post lyrics from another song by Ryan Shupe and The Rubber Band. This song is called Simplify.

I say what the hey I've got bills to pay
I work all day I got no time to play
And what's more, knocking on my door
Is the tax collector and I'm poor

See there's too many bills too many pills
Too many features and too many frills
No money, too many things to buy
Too many ways to split the pie

I've got to simplify
I've got to simplify
My life
I say simplify
I've got to simplify

I've got to smell the flowers, enjoy the ride
I've got to open up my eyes
And see what's outside
All the things I miss each day

'Cause I'm driving in the fast lane
And it's making me insane
And I don't want to be that way
I want to be free today from responsibility that brings excess duress
I've got to enjoy more and stress less

Simplify
I've got to simplify
My life
I say simplify
I've got to simplify

That's great, I'm late
'Cause I'm always in a hurry
For a meeting in the state of confusion, a delusion
An illusion I've taken much too far

I'm always living in the future or the past
But time flies too fast
I've got to make it last
So enjoy, relax, chill out...
Just give it a try

Simplify
I've got to simplify
My life
I say simplify
I've got to simplify

P.S. Happy Birthday to Rick "Thunder God" Allen, drummer for Def Leppard, he turned 42 today.

Monday...The First Work Day After Going Off Daylight Saving Time

I thought I would be more tired this morning. When my alarm went off at 5am, I was up and ready to get in the shower. Don't get me wrong, I was still tired, but I was ready to get the day started. Then my brain kicked in and advised me that I didn't need to be getting up that early, so I obeyed my brain and laid back down for 30 minutes.

Work was busy. As I told Kerry today, half of Friday was sitting on my desk waiting for me when I got there this morning. And I actually felt like I got more accomplished today than Friday. Of course, maybe that's because hardly anyone was there. Cathy was off today, John and Debbie left to go to Ohio right before lunch to do inventory at a warehouse and meet a customer, so that left three of us in our department. Needless to say, it was a quiet afternoon, lol.

My evening was quiet, exchanged some songs with Kerry, the usual, lol. So what I thought I would do was put some lyrics here from songs that I'm listening to in my car. I'll do one song per day. In their own way, most of the songs have at least a part of them that I can relate to in some way. The artist is Ryan Shupe and The Rubber Band, the first song is Dream Big, their current single.

When you cry be sure to dry your eyes
'Cause better days are sure to come
And when you smile be sure to smile wide
And don't let them know that they have won
And when you walk, walk with pride
Don't show the hurt inside
Because the pain will soon be gone

And when you dream, dream big
As big as the ocean blue
When you dream it might come true
And when you dream, dream big

And when you laugh be sure to laugh out loud
'Cause it will carry all your cares away
And when you see, see the beauty all around and in yourself
And it will help you feel ok
And when you pray, pray for strength to help you carry on
When the troubles come your way

And when you dream, dream big
As big as the ocean blue
When you dream it might come true
And when you dream, dream big

And when you laugh be sure to laugh out loud
'Cause it will carry all your cares away
And when you see, see the beauty all around and in yourself
And it will help you feel ok
And when you pray, pray for strength to help you carry on
When the troubles come your way

Sunday Night

Tomorrow is Monday, time to go back to work. And it just might have been the last nice day we'll have here for awhile, relatively speaking.

Today I woke up and almost forgot about the time change. Then I remembered that my alarm clock, my computer, my vcr and my cell phone all change on their own. So that left: my watches, my microwave, two wall clocks, my stereo, my answering machine, and my car. I got all those changed after I got dressed. I went to the store because today was the last day of a sale they were having for diet coke. Buy 4-12 packs for $10.00, get one free. I had a few other things to pick up too, so my shopping is done for the next few days. I also got some cash for the movie today.

I went to see Zorro today with Darlene and her sister. We also went to Wal-Mart so they could buy the personal toiletries I use, to be wrapped and put in my Christmas sock. Yes, I said Christmas. My aunt is now done wrapping all her Christmas presents. I haven't bought one single present yet. Makes me sick, lol

I streamed again tonight, after being off for almost two weeks. I'm still not convinced I want to continue, but I'm being told that we should have better crowds once winter sets in. We'll see if I can wait that long.

Anyway, time to go figure out what I'm going to wear tomorrow and get to bed. With the time change, it feels like 11pm, not 10pm, lol.
